Community Life

Spiritual Community

Life change happens best in community. Spiritual community is essential to each Christian’s spiritual growth, and it is your responsibility to pursue it. We have multiple classes that focus on group/cohort based interaction rather than traditional "school" format.

These are available throughout the year for you to join:

Bible Fellowship, our Sunday Morning groups at the church, where we discuss the Bible, pray and fellowship together. We have one Bible Fellowship that occurs in our Church Hall while the 9am Sunday worship service happens in the auditorium, and other Bible Fellowship that takes place in the Church Hall while the 11am worship service happens in the auditorium. You may either bring your kids with you or check them into our Sojourn Kids classes/nursery. ;

Our Men’s School and Women’s School gender-based classes, which are short-term classes offered periodically throughout the year. These will be listed in the "Events" section of this website and our free iOS/Android "Sojourn Collective" app. There is no childcare for Men's or Women's school. Most participants who are parents will leave their children with spouse, friend or other family member for the 90-minute class sessions.

Other periodic short-term classes, usually focused on a specific ministry or area of theology. These will be listed in the "Events" tab of the app and the "Events" section of this website.

Other options for pursuing spiritual community involve:

  • serving in one or more of our ministries
  • inquiring about becoming a CG leader yourself (if you are a member), and setting the group meeting time on a day and hour that works for you.

A few independent Sojourn community groups exist in Southern Indiana. A community group meets weekly or bi-weekly, usually in a private home. Most of our community groups consist of 6-15 people who meet in a home once a week for around two hours to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. You do not have to be a member of Sojourn Church to be a part of a community group.
